British Water - Monitoring for Hydraulic Fracturing

British Water

British Water in collaboration with Cranfield University are pleased to announce the workshop series: Monitoring for Hydraulic Fracturing, sub topics Setting Baseline Monitoring and Ongoing Monitoring.

Who should attend?

If you want to discuss recent developments within the environmental and process control monitoring applicable to Hydraulic Fracturing arena, help identify current challenges, and debate the industry's appetites, whilst being commercially focused, these workshops are for you.

Hosted at WWEM, the most important water, wastewater and environmental monitoring exhibition in the UK, on 2-3 November, these one-hour sessions will cover introductory basic concepts and international experience and will provide a unique opportunity for high level discussions and networking.

Why attend?

This event will help further inform and assist delegates by providing a clearer understanding of available techniques and identify gaps in knowledge and R&D opportunities in the area of onshore gas extraction during these facilitated brainstorming sessions.

Monitoring for Hydraulic Fracturing will be facilitated by Dr Frederic Coulon, Senior Lecturer in Environmental Technology at Cranfield University, and Tom Williams, Director at Enebio and convenor of the British Water Extractive Industries Focus Group.

The workshops will guarantee attendance from key organisations including: innovative sensor and equipment providers; unconventional gas R&D; researchers; water companies and regulators.

What will be discussed on the day?

This event will offer monitoring equipment and system's providers from across the water, wastewater and environmental monitoring industries a chance to share challenges and concerns with experienced peers, and unconventional gas extraction experts.

Monitoring for Hydraulic Fracturing, with sub topics Setting Baseline Monitoring and Ongoing Monitoring, is a key opportunity to identify gaps in the industry, network and build strong working relationships with monitoring experts, as well as experienced unconventional gas extraction's supply chain.
