Dates for WWEM 2008 Announced
WWEM 2008 will take place at the Telford International Centre on 5th and 6th November 2008

Building upon the outstanding success of the 2006 water-monitoring event, WWEM 2008 promises to be even bigger and better.

WWEM (Water, Wastewater and Environmental Monitoring) will be comprised of a major Conference, Workshops, Exhibition and a Gala MCERTS Presentation Dinner.
The Conference will address key issues in the testing and monitoring of water level, flow and quality and the Workshops will address many of the practical and technical issues that confront those responsible for managing water and wastewater, either in the laboratory, within processes, in effluent, or in natural water resources such as underground, in rivers, streams, reservoirs or coastal areas.
Conference presentations will include an update on the Environment Agency’s Modernising Regulations Agenda and the application of MCERTS to the water sector.

Initially WWEM was created to address issues relating to the Environment Agency’s monitoring certification scheme MCERTS, however, it has now grown to become a focal point for the entire water testing community attracting delegates and exhibitors from all over the world.

WWEM will be an essential date in the diary of anyone responsible for an aqueous discharge to the environment, however the event will also appeal to anyone involved with water sampling testing or monitoring.  For example, many of the technologies on show find application in process monitoring and control within a wide variety of industries such as food, beverage, petrochemical, manufacturing, power, leisure and many others.

Visitors to WWEM 2006 learned a great deal from the conferences and workshops on offer and many commented on the usefulness of the exhibition. James Carlyle, General Manager at Ashtead Technology Rentals said, “I have never seen such a comprehensive assembly of everyone involved with water monitoring. I was able to view many new technologies first hand and will be making several additions to our instrument rental fleet as a result”
Robin Lennox at South West Water also visited WWEM and commented afterwards “WWEM has now become established as the most useful exhibition and conference of the year for those involved in measurement and instrumentation in the water industry.  With industry practitioners and decision makers well represented real progress can be made in the development of ideas for this area.”

Further details on WWEM and the other related topics will be posted to this web site in due course.
