WWEM 2008 is set to be the world's largest event to focus purely on Water, Wastewater and Environmental Monitoring.
Running over the 5th and 6th November at the Telford International Centre, WWEM 2008 is comprised of a Conference, over 50 Workshops and an Exhibition featuring more than 120 international manufacturers and service providers in the testing and monitoring sector.
WWEM organiser Marcus Pattison says he is expecting a healthy contingent of Irish visitors from a variety of sectors. "WWEM 2008 will offer visitors the opportunity to meet all of the world's major players in the water monitoring sector at one highly focused event. The Workshops will provide process operators and laboratory staff with an insight into the latest technologies with practical hints and advice, whereas the exhibition will provide an opportunity to see the latest instruments, first-hand."
The WWEM Workshops are provided by industry experts and deal with both practical and technological issues that affect testing and monitoring in processes, in the field and in the laboratory.
Reviewing the published Workshops, event organiser Marcus Pattison says, "WWEM visitors will be able to tailor their visit to best meet their needs by attending those presentations and workshops that are of most interest. The Workshops offer something for everyone, covering water level and flow monitoring, water quality monitoring, wireless data collection and laboratory analysis in applications such as wastewater, drinking water, process water, rivers, reservoirs, groundwater, contaminated land and marine water."
"Many of the world's leading instrument manufacturers and analytical services companies will run workshops covering a comprehensive range of measurands including heavy metals, trace organics, turbidity, ammonium, dissolved oxygen, nutrients, chlorine, TOC, particle count and many more. The Workshop titles tend to address one key, tightly defined topic, and as such they attract audiences with a genuine interest in the subject."
Commenting on the travel and accommodation arrangements, Marcus said "Telford is ideally placed close to the M54 and the M6 with easy access to the Birmingham and East Midlands airports.
Furthermore, entry to WWEM 2008 will be free to all Pre-Registered visitors (saving a daily admission fee of £20)
Pre-Registered visitors will be entitled to free onsite parking, free lunches and refreshments on both days of the event, and complimentary entry to all workshops.
