WWEM 2010 Feedback
Ashley Worthington, Weatherall Equipment & Industries
WWEM 2010 has been very successful for us and we would definitely consider coming back for WWEM 2012. There has been a good atmosphere and I like the layout of the site.
Alan Henderson, Gas Sensing Solutions
It has proved to be an excellent networking opportunity and we are pleased with the response to our stand and our products on show.
Craig Harrison, Managing Director of Aquaread
Judging by the number of orders, interest and leads that we had during the exhibition, I can safely say that it has been a success. We are a booming, young UK manufacturing company who went to WWEM to meet a lot of our current customers, establish new routes to market and to get as much exposure as possible. All of which were accomplished. Hats off to the organisers of the event.
Derek Lane, Deputy Chairman of PROFIBUS
I feel that this event has helped us to raise our profile within the environmental monitoring sector and we will definitely be coming back in 2012. We have had a lot of interest from visitors keen to find out more about us.
Tony Halker, CEO of Intellitect Water
WWEM 2010 provided us with a great opportunity to meet existing clients in the UK utility and industrial markets. However, we were also very pleased with the number of prospective customers that visited our stand and with the number of overseas contacts that we were able to meet through the meetings arranged by UKTI.
Ian Thompson, YSI Director
Visitors were able to see our latest MCERTS approved products and view live data from estuarine monitoring buoys in Wales. The event was a great success for us and we have already booked a larger stand for WWEM 2012.
Graham Webster , Aquaco
We are delighted with WWEM 2010; with the first day especially being extremely busy. We hope to chase up a number of new and encouraging sales leads on our return to the office.
Iain Mayer, GE Analytical Instruments
It has been very busy and our stand has been a hub of activity. We will definitely consider coming back in two years time.
Mike Strahand, General Manager at ATI
This was our best WWEM ever and we were busy all day, both days.
David Cawkell, SESYS
In general, we have had an excellent response in terms of visitors to our stand, the layout of the event is great and we have been extremely busy.
Tom O’Reilly,Thermo Fisher
We had a very successful two days at WWEM 2010. The event has grown significantly from the previous exhibition and we were delighted with the number and quality of visitors to our stand. I also believe it is the perfect platform for effective networking for the environmental and water monitoring industries.
Hazel Davidson, Technical Marketing Manager at ALcontrol Laboratories
Alcontrol found the exhibition very productive and with a better footfall than expected in these very cost-conscious times. “I thought the organisation was excellent, with a good layout of stands centred around the catering areas, and breaks between the presentations, allowing delegates to spend more time with the exhibitors. The content of the presentations was informative and covered a wide range of very pertinent topics.
Sarah Blayds, Marketing Manager at HACH LANGE
On the first morning there were more visitors on the stand than we could cope with. Our new real-time wastewater treatment optimisation system was the subject of particular interest and we have already booked a larger stand for WWEM 2012.
Gavin Boorman, GFG
I am very pleased with the results achieved from the exhibition, and we have already booked Stand No.1 again for 2012. The concept of the “gas detection pavilion” really worked, and attracted high level visitors.
Chris Street, STG
Generally very good, excellent leads and turnout. We had an excellent stand and position.
Justin Dunning, Chelsea Technologies
The overall experience was very positive for us. We met a significant number of potential customers and the hall seemed much busier than previous events.
Sam Drury,Sales Director of impress-sensors
wwem 2010 for us, being our first time exhibiting here was a bit of a gamble which I am pleased to say has paid off! The quality of the visitors and enquiries we received we excellent and I am sure several valuable relationships will have come from it. We will definitely be exhibiting in 2012! Unfortunately, we did not take advantage of the conferences but by the sounds of it, they are worth attending so this will be on the agenda in 2012. The other comment I would make is to the preparation and organisation of the show... Fantastic! Everything just works with no issues which is unusual for exhibitions!
Elizabeth Wilkinson, Marketing Executive of tintometer
This was the first time in several years that Lovibond Tintometer has exhibited at WWEM and we are pleased to say we have already preliminarily reserved our stand for 2012. We found the event to be excellent.
- The location worked very well. The hall was the perfect size for the scope of the event and provided easy accessibility and free parking
- Unifying the size of the stands so each exhibitor has equal coverage was an excellent idea. Please continue to do so.
- The flow of traffic around the exhibition hall was very good. Putting the food in strategic places ensured everyone passed by most stands
- The quality of visitors to WWEM was extremely high. Most of our audience were knowledgeable about the industry and many were key decision makers for their companies
- Pre-promotion activities for the event were extensive and targeted the right audience
- The event organisation was excellent both prior to and during the exhibition: from booking, arranging furniture and electricity to registration etc, everything was extremely smooth. During the event, organisers were on-hand and always available for questions etc
- The catering was very good – providing the exhibitors with coffee and tea was much appreciated
- Set-up and tear-down was very easy with local staff being extremely friendly and helpful
Robin Lennox, South West Water
"WWEM is undoubtedly the venue for all those concerned with measurement and instrumentation in the water industry. Manufacturers and suppliers were there in strength and with the Environment Agency well represented there was plenty of opportunity to track the inside story. The conference event was well attended with good presentations on regulatory changes and associated topics. Noticable technical advances were in evidence at WWEM this year, including advances in ammonia and pollution montitoring, with Profibus now progressing even into colorimetric analysers- a move long awaited by the water industry. Those from the water companies who missed this event now have some catching up to do!"
Dan Ware, Water Active
Was “thrilled to be a part of the WWEM exhibition and conference. The Telford venue is superb. We can honestly say that despite the many years of exhibiting at trade exhibitions, this show was unique. The atmosphere was one of expectancy, friendliness and camaraderie. Visitors were positive about the products available, and keen to discuss solutions to problems. It was, without question, the nicest show we’ve ever done, and the exhibiting experience was made all the more pleasant by the additional things laid on by the organiser, and the attitude of those involved. We can’t wait until the next one.”
Keith Flint, Pulsar Process Measurement
We had some worthwhile discussions with customers and a good level of positive enquiries. The event has grown significantly from the previous exhibition and we were delighted with the number and quality of visitors to our stand. We will be following up a number ofinteresting enquiries as a result of our attendance at WWEM.”
Roger Powell , Process Measurement & Analysis Ltd
"The PMA Ltd experience was very positive. Certainly we met a significant number of new potential customers including both industrial and food processing sector companies. Thumbs up all round for that. The hall itself was very well laid out with an ever expanding mix of truly excellent exhibits. A number of customers both old and new stated more than once that the WWEM had replaced IWEX for them in terms of monitoring and control instrumentation."
Simon Wills, OTT Hydrometry
“As a specialist event, we don’t expect vast crowds but the quality of the visitors was extremely high – every visitor to our stand had a genuine interest in monitoring water quality level or flow.”
Tony Hoyle, ABB
"We found the exhibition and workshops very focused this year. Many more industrial PPC operators came along in addition to the UK Water industry professionals. The workshops that we gave were well attended and highlighted interest in achieving compliance with Effluent Flow Monitoring arrangements and MCERTS - a great event all round."
